Relevation of the day: Dry cous cous looks like sand
Despite having consumed and prepared far more than my fair share of cous cous throughout my life, including eating it while visiting the Muslim world, it was not until this afternoon that the following thought entered my mind. While readying a cous cous inclusive lunch for my two hungry kiddos, I realized that dry cous cous looks like sand.
So momentous was this occasion, that I paused my food prep – even as the waiting water boiled – to snap the picture you find here.
